About us

Kittanning Township Fire Department was established in May 1966.  We provide Fire & Rescue Service to the residents of Kittanning Township and also provide QRS service to the residents of Kittanning Township.  The Department provides mutual aid to Elderton, Burrell Township, Manor Township, Rayburn Township, and Rural Valley Fire Departments.  We also provide rescue services to Manor Township, Rayburn Township, Pine Township, and Kittanning Hose Company # 6 areas.  We operate with a main station and a sub station on the lower end of the township.  In those two stations we house seven trucks.  We also do various fund raising activities, such as bingo, turkey dinners, fish fry's, gun shows, gun drawings, jewelry drawings, flea markets, and hall rentals. During the summer months, we also deliver water for swimming pools.  Please contact our non-emergency number to find out more details regarding pool water delivery and fee's.
